With the World Cup just around the corner England look to Gareth Southgate to make the choices to hopefully bring success back to England this summer.
His most recent choice is to name striker Harry Kane as the captain of the national team.
Kane has proven once again last season that he is a brilliant goalscorer after netting 41 times for Tottenham in all competitions and helped lead them to finishing third in the Premier League.
He’s not only scored goals on a club level he has shown the country he can do it on an international level, finding the net 12 times in 23 appearances.
Southgate has admired Kane for his determination and personality, “He has belief and high standards and it is a great message for the team to have a captain who has shown that it is possible to be one of the best in the world”.
Why do you think Harry Kane is the right choice?
